It's hard to explain in words what I like about certain music; yours has great harmonies and arrangements and tunes, but mostly, it just makes me feel good !
Your compositions are terrific. What a creative guy you are...thank you !!

Michael, it is so wonderful to see you have stayed in the creative vien and made a life in music and guitar. It has been a long time from the days at Westminster College. I see you're living in LA ( of course) and you still play a 335. As I think you know I stopped playing professional in 1979 and moved back to the US. Funny though, I have been playing more and more at home and it's good to feel it again. Just so nice to if I hear a song I like I just pick it up and enjoy the challenge of learning the song and playing it. Anyway hope you are well and healthy. Best Michael

Thanks so much for your recordings. I have just finished listening to "Details Are Sketchy," I thoroughly enjoyed it and "Neon." They are such quality offerings and really representative of thoughtful, creative and meaningful expressions of today"s jazz. Your high technical achievements and the inclusion of Bob Shepherd and Walt Fowler on several cuts was icing on the cake. I look forward to hearing you play in person, and hope that you will be coming to Utah soon.

Just downloaded "Neon". Excellent music, excellent production. Sounds like you were having fun, which is a tough trick in a recording. I'll apprise others.

in the short period i've known mike clinco, he has made a tremendous impact on my life. he has opened up his life to me, shown me his amazing world of loving family and extremely gifted, talented friends, and offered unwavering support of my upstart business. then of course, there's his music. NEON has reintroduced me to the world of jazz which has been missing in my life for many years. as i've told mike, "beaten paths" leads to alot of thought, introspection and literally takes me down the beaten paths of mike's life as well as my own. a provocative track on a thoughtful, brilliantly composed album. tonight, i toast NEON with a russian imperial stout! cheers, mike!

I really enjoyed your CD. This is the kind of music that doesn't come along very often and is great delight. I put you up there with George Benson and Earl Klug.
